05.07.2011 - Music Festival Riedberg - Live in the Park

On Friday and Saturday, 19th and 20th from 18:00, there'll be well known international and local acts in the Bonifatius park for the "Music Festival Riedberg - Live in the Park" The Bonifatius park forms a stunning backdrop: The central square with cascading stairs becomes it's own amphitheatre. From the promenade you can enjoy a splendid view of the Frankfurt skyline.

22.06.2011 - Groundbreaking for Riedberg sports facilities

As part of the Riedberg urban development measures, YOUNIQ AG is building a new student residence with 234 apartments close to the Riedberg university campus. The student residence was designed by the architect Jan Dirk Müller-Seidler. Layout and design was developed in collaboration with the internationally renowned architecture and design office, Matteo Thun & Partner. The apartments are on average 22sqm, furnished to a high quality and equipped with kitchen and bathroom. An "all-in-rent" includes utilities, electricity, cable television and a high-speed Internet connection. In addition, learning lounges, a TV lounge and a laundry room are available to the students. The €19 million complex on Altenhöferallee should be finished by 2012 to coincide with the university's winter semester.

24.05.2011 - Beach volleyball at Riedberg

With the creation of a beach volleyball field beyond the Bonifatiuspark the already large leisure offer in Riedberg will be further expanded. The 330 square meter space was completed on the 24.5 and can be found beyond the Boniface park adjacent to the existing football field. This is an 8 x 16 meter square which is surrounded by a strip of grass. The square is open to the public and provides additional sports facilities for the nearby Riedberg secondary school. The school is currently in a pavilion facility whilst awaiting completion of a new building The facility is temporary and will initially be operated for about three years.

31.03.2011 - Architecture Summer "Architektursommer Rhein-Main 2011" at Riedberg

The Frankfurt-Riedberg project is taking part in the architecture summer "Architektursommer Rhein-Main for the first time. Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Offenbach and Wiesbaden are working together to organise the Architecture Summer placing this years focal point on "urban living spaces" The event will draw more international attention to the perception of the area and help encourage discussion between citizens about identity through architecture and urban development. Under the umbrella of Architecture Summer the cities organize their own programs.

21.03.2011 - New apartment building in Riedberg

Bien-Ries AG have started construction work on eight new townhouses. The project, known as "Bo.Park.Lane" includes 3, 4 and 6 bedroom apartments ranging in size from approximately 52 to 290 square meters of living space. It's located in Bonifatiusbrunnen directly adjacent to Bonifatius park. 38 apartments In total will be built by 2011.

17.03.2011 - Groundbreaking for Riedberg Sports Facilities

The excellent infrastructure in the young district was further developed on Thursday as building commenced on a new sports facility in Frankfurt-Riedberg. There are already lots of nurseries and play areas, two parks, an elementary school and a temporary secondary school (Gymnasium) and a shopping centre with shops, restaurants and service companies. The construction a new sports facility will soon make the north part of the city even more attractive for leisure activities.

17.02.2011 - Press conference with builders and building society groups

The new district offers a variety of properties to rent or to buy, ranging from the classic single-family homes, in all different sizes and materials to student apartments. In the emerging district innovative community living concepts are being realised. A pilot project with several groups of developers and a newly formed housing association has been developed by HA Hessen Agentur GmbH und HA Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (HASEG) on behalf of the City of Frankfurt am Main.

17.11.2010 - Groundbreaking for Riedberg Residential Accommodation

The Sozialwerk Main Taunus e.V. (smt) has begun building residential accommodation for people with

mental illness in the district of Frankfurt Riedberg. The building is in
Altkönigblick and can accommodate 20 people, largely in self-sufficient
group homes that also offer round-the-clock supervision by experienced professionals. The offer
is aimed at people who need support coping with everyday life.
The aim is to actively promote independence and self-reliance as well as integration in
the local environment.

03.11.2010 - Groundbreaking for Riedberg Secondary School

Another milestone for Frankfurt's emerging district, has been achieved: on the 3rd of November construction officially started on a new secondary school with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony. The new school is the first new one of it's kind to be built since around one hundred years ago. It will be bilingual and place the main emphasis on science.

The resulting building is modern and accommodates 1,350 students executed to the passive house standards. A youth centre for open work with teenagers and family-oriented events in the district, and a three court sports hall make up part of the project.

The City Education Office, youth and social services, City Planning Office and the HA Hessen Agentur GmbH
are working together to realise this important educational project in the neighbourhood. Riedberg secondary school
will be in the "Mitte" neighbourhood between Friedrich-Dessauer-Strasse and the future Kätcheslach park.

02.11.2010 - Groundbreaking for a new residential building in Frankfurt Riedberg: ABG FRANKFURT HOLDING builds 230 apartments to passive house standards.

The city owned developer, ABG FRANKFURT HOLDING GmbH has begun building a total of 230 apartments in Frankfurt Riedberg. 230 apartmentsare due to be built on the 16,000 square metre plot within the next two years. The apartmentswill be executed using the highest energy-efficient passive house technology. In autumn last year, the ABG FRANKFURT HOLDING acquired the property in Riedberg "Mitte" from HA HessenAgentur GmbH for development. They act as trustees for Frankfurt City and are responsible for the overall development of the new district. Construction of 149 apartments will be privately financed and about 81 apartments according to Frankfurt's rental housing program for families and senior citizens. The project will be implemented in two phases.

13.09.2010 - Kätcheslach Park (East) Opening

Another park in Riedberg was opened to the public on Monday, 13th of September. The eastern part of the Kätcheslach park was completed and is now available for residents and visitors, students and employees alike. The eastern part of Kätcheslach park has been developed into a diverse park landscape of high design standards that invites people to stroll, relax, exercise and to play.

02.09.2010 - Groundbreaking on an urban Residential Building in Frankfurt Riedberg

The German branch of Swiss life insurer "Swiss Life" has committed to a new housing project in the Frankfurt suburb of Riedberg. Swiss Life is going to build 149 architecturally stunning apartments on approximately 10,914 square meters of prime land with a central location. The building complex was designed by the renowned architectural firm Stefan Forster, Frankfurt, who emerged as the winner selected by a panel of experts and is now charged with the further implementation of the project. Construction will take around two years.

20.08.2010 - New Project in Parkstadt, Riedberg

PS Baugesellschaft Gut Lewitz GmbH is currently offering family-friendly town houses
as well as exclusive 2 to 4 room apartments in the Bonifatiusbrunnen neighbourhood. Building work started
on the 9th of August 2010.

14.06.2010 - Summer Evenings in Riedberg

When "Summer Evening at Riedberg" arrives on 25 June the whole neighbourhood shimmers in a special light. At exactly 18.00 Werner Hackermeier (Project Officer Riedberg) will be officially opening the event. From 6pm to midnight Riedberg is setting the stage for cultural activities, the diverse program ranging from public viewing to live music and also includes theatre, readings and "Night Shopping".

27.05.2010 - Riedberg Secondary School: planning application submitted/preliminary design completed

The preliminary design for the new Riedberg school has been completed. After the completion of the design competition and the initial planning phase, the final design of the new building has been set out, an appropriate planning application has been submitted. The new building project for 1,350 students includes a gymnasium, a youth centre and a sports hall with three courts. The planners are Ackermann + Raff architects and town planners together with Pfrommer + Roeder Freie Landschaftsarchitekten who won the architecture competition in July last year are the planners.

10.03.2010 - Real Estate Exhibition in Riedberg

The real estate exhibition opens on 20th to the 21st of March 2010 with a colourful program, and a completely new appearance: To refine and test your technical skills there will be DIY courses for women, "DIY Olympics" and a workshop for children. For the first time the fair will be held on the central square in Frankfurt Riedberg. Developers and investors will present their latest projects and new concepts in the exhibition marquee...

09.03.2010 - Swiss Life is building 149 apartments at a central location

The German branch of Swiss life insurer "Swiss Life" has committed to a new housing project in the Frankfurt suburb of Riedberg. On the 19th of February Swiss Life acquired 10,914 square meters of prime land in Riedberg Mitte and is planning to build 149 apartments there. Construction of the ten buildings is expected to begin in autumn this year and will take about two years to complete.

GWH Gemeinnützige Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH has committed itself to a new housing project in the Frankfurt suburb of Riedberg. The company currently manages around 46,000 homes and over the next few years, is planning to build 149 apartments on 11,462 square metres of land in the Riedberg district "Mitte". This Friday construction began with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony that included more than 120 personalities involved in politics business and management...

04.02.2010 - Opening of the architecture competition exhibition for a new primary school

The winners of the architectural competition for Riedberg's second primary school have been determined. The jury, consisting of representatives of the City of Frankfurt am Main, HA Hessen Agentur GmbH and selected independent architects chose the first four winners. The winning design was provided by MGF Architekten GmbH (Stuttgart) together with Stötzer + Neher Landschaftsarchitekten (Sindelfingen) who will receive a €40,000 prize fund.
